Glasgow Riverside Innovation District (GRID) spans 700 acres across both banks of the River Clyde, building on Glasgow’s shipbuilding heritage while connecting riverside communities with new opportunities. Anchored by the University of Glasgow, a world top 100 institution, GRID works with core partners Scottish Enterprise and Glasgow City Council, as well as wider regional, national and UK stakeholders, to deliver innovation-enabled growth. GRID has comparative strengths in health and life sciences, critical technologies and creative industries, and, alongside its innovation focus, has a strong civic mission centred on community wealth building and skills development to help empower local communities.
